I already follow https://www.collagerie.com and I was just wondering if there were others with a similar vibe. I like that it has a mix of high street and high end (for my fantasy life) and the occasional bit of homeware.

God, that whowhatwear site would drive me mad!

I don’t know of anything quite like Collagerie. (Oddly enough I used to use Matches in much the same way. Narrower range but ‘authoritative’ coverage of newness.)

So I’d be interested to hear of anything (not just other multi-brand stores) that does a similar job.

botemp · 21/08/2024 09:19

Hmm, I think these type of sites popped up everywhere for a period of time with lots of outside investment on the back of Goop's succes but few have survived.

The only two I still check in with is Semaine which despite the name is US based and has moved more focus towards their print version but their shopping selection is always interesting.

Another Magazine which has notions of being a bit high brow with an overlap with art and photography so may not be your cup of tea.

Think it's also worth mentioning Trouva which is a marketplace for independent boutiques, predominantly homewear but some clothes too, which has a similar vibe to Collagerie.

I already follow Sheerluxe (and the men’s version for gift ideas) although the young panel of posh/young/London centricmess of the contributors tends to put me off a little sometimes, The Handbook, Whowhatwear and Trouva (more traditional shop than magazine maybe?). I’ll check out the US recommendations.

If you’re determined not to spend £800, @Athena51, have a look on Vestiaire - they might have Nanushka jackets from previous seasons, preowned. Sometimes as good as new.

Great idea, I'll have a look - thank you.

The Nanushka jacket is on Yoox in Khaki in size XS for about a third of the price.

I knew there was another place I’ve seen mentioned here!

https://newin.style

Less elevated (or wide ranging if you like) than Collagerie) - it seems to stick to the High St - but looks good at what it does. And not annoying.

Will check out some of the other links, Sheer luxe used to be ok but its motivation is clearly just aff links. Who what wear does my head in with its stupid headlines, “fashion girls have said this shoe is dead” 🙄. Collegerie is ok but very £££ and again aff links. I miss matches 😢

hortonchipy · 20/04/2026 10:41

I’ve come across a couple of similar sites as well that have that curated feel without being too overwhelming.
One I still check fairly regularly is Semaine, which leans a bit more editorial and has an interesting mix of fashion and culture alongside shopping. It feels a bit more niche but the selection is always thoughtfully put together.
Another one worth a look is New In Style, which is more high street focused but does a good job of pulling together current pieces in a clean way without feeling cluttered or too trend-chasing.
I also sometimes browse broader mens style inspiration spaces like Essential Mens for ideas and direction when I want something more grounded and wearable rather than purely editorial fantasy.

Thank you @hortonchipy I had seen NewInStyle before but it felt too fast fashion rather than curated style. I do follow a couple of men’s ones already actually and quite enjoy the content! I hadn’t heard of Semaine but looks like I will need to dig into what is free.

edited to add that I must have checked out Semaine before and promptly forgot about it. Still loving Collagerie but the frequency from Sheer Luxe is getting a bit overwhelming and going from a naice thing to look at with a coffee into an inbox clearing session.

Are you familiar with what used to be called the Vogue Runway app? It’s now (incredibly unhelpfully) just called Vogue - but it isn’t the magazine. And it’s sadly no longer free (I think it may be around £19 per year) but well worth the investment. It does still cover and contain every runway show but the focus now seems to be on real world wearing of clothes. Mostly celebs, but not all. Various sections on beauty, fashion, weddings, etc. Daily updating and endless entertainment.

I wasn’t aware of the app @IWantedThereThereButItsGone but do get emails and occasionally read their articles.
