Stopping straps falling down

I have a jumpsuit similar to the below in terms of the strap placement, and the straps just constantly fall down when I wear it. Does anyone know of a solution to make the straps stay on my shoulders or is it just pointless and destined for the charity shop? Thanks

Could you cut the straps and re-attach once shortened? Or have them mended at a shop?

Instead of shortening them could you reattach them cross backed?

Thanks for the replies all, I think reattaching them might be the best option, anything that temporarily holds them up will be annoying when I need the toilet I think 😆
