Over 40's Brunch Outfits?

I'm in my early 40's. 5ft 3, size 18 with big boobs and a belly.

I need a fashionable outfit for daytime drinks in a few weeks time but have no idea where to start looking!

I have shoes, accessories etc but need a dress / trousers / top for around £50.

I want to look stylish and trendy not like a tw@t either. I'm menopausal and often feel frumpy and mumsy in most of my clothes. I used to have a fun, colourful style but now I just seem to always be in black!

I don't mind prints, but not paisley and I'm not a pink girly either. Animal print is always good! Probably more of an indie style than country girl / girl next door.

Help, any ideas for a shortarsed fatty?!

Where do you usually shop, @Babs0205? I’m sure you’re aware it’s not easy to get good quality material and design for £50 … (Though Sainsbury’s was doing well recently.)

If this thread is real I’d suggest looking at the new stock from

Joanie

maybe the trousers linked with a top you already have? Or the green shirt dress, which might be slightly longer on you.

I don’t think you could get both a top and trousers for £50 but Marks have nice linen trousers for about £27.
