It's a Moncler. Not sure whether it is aimed at very young people though?

I really like it, and would wear it. I am defo not ‘young people’ these days though, lol.

Gilets were very trendy last year/ year before.
i bought a black one and a rose pink . They are a good extra layer or not cold enough for a jacket days. And- zipped pockets .

My DD (22) disapproves of mine but that’s her perogative. I didn’t get on the trend of the knee length gilet . Mine are waist length.

That Moncler one looks like something I’d lag theboiler with 😯

I wouldn’t choose it for myself.

But regardless of who you perceive it to be ‘aimed at’ - if you like it and think you look good in it, wear it.

FWIW it’s something I’ve seen on people of all ages, shapes and sizes. Entirely unremarkable piece of clothing.

Moncler is tacky. Too shiny

Not for me - IMO gilets should be wafer thin so they can be carried in a handbag and whipped out to put under a coat, blazer, cardigan if it’s unexpectedly cooler and even then they’re a bit tech-bro for me.

I don’t understand the point of the bulky ones.

I love a gilet, I get mine from decathlon. Wear what you like, who cares what anyone else thinks.

I don't know if we are ahead or behind fashion wise, but we are in winter and gilets are everywhere.

But I don't like that Moncler one, just because of the shine to it. But that is just a personal choice I am sure.

The youngsters are all wearing the puffy cropped type. I have a few much more boring ones that I wear surprisingly often. My fave one is the Patagonia that pp mentioned (my best bargain ever in a thrift shop), but it is a very blue, blue.

No, it's too shiny and bulky. I think that kind of Michelin man padding looks awful on most people.

I dont think gilets really have an age as such do they? more a basic bit of winter kit.
I su[ppose if they are super cropped they will look abit young (goes for most tops though!).

I don't like the fact that is shiny. My daughter loves it though and has asked for a similar Canada Goose one for Christmas.

It wouldn't be for me. I like a gilet and tend to go for a Schoffel for best and a Regatta as a cheap standby. Depends what look you are going for, Schoffel is kind of a country staple.

I don’t like the material at all I’m afraid. Also 99% of that brand round here is knock off from Sara Mart or Turkey.

Too shiny and a tiny bit too puffy. Might work for the very young but I mostly see girls from independent schools in puffy North Face. DC says it’s a ‘private school faux chav look’.

Uniqlo are lightweight, packable and no logo. But for 25 plus

Not for me, I don't like shiny and puffy. All mine are thinner, and usually dark green/ navy- mainly from joules and Barbour as that's the style I like- but equally- if you like it who gives a monkeys? Wear it/ it looks warm!
