Trainers help needed - which ones?

I would like a black and gold Gola pair I spotted a while ago (shouldn’t have dithered) but can’t find anywhere to deliver in time, I’ll have a quick look in town tomorrow.

However I have found two pairs that are showing as available in store tomorrow. Neither would be my first choice but i like them well enough and I need them for an event to wear with a smart outfit. Otherwise I will be in sandals and maybe heels but prefer trainers.

Do these fit smart trainers category?

The second ones are less smart.

I think the first ones would be OK depending on the occasion and what else you were wearing.

By second ones I mean the ones in the second post. I didn't even notice the two pairs in the first post were different.

Of the two pairs in the first post I like the second ones.

Second pair in the OP are the best in a sort of Samba-alike way, but it depends what the outfit is and what the event is.
