I'm looking to buy some collagen and have gone back over the Style and Beauty threads. A few names keep coming up. Please pick your favourite so I can decide!

I'm not thinking of Marine, Vegan or Halal, mainstream bovine collagen is what I'm looking at.

So: the ones mentioned:

Hunter & Gather got a LOT of mentions but also many negative comments on unpleasant taste so I've ruled them out.

Top contenders are:
Vital Proteins
Absolute Collagen
Ancient and Brave (lots of positive comments)
Willpowders (tasteless)

Others mentioned:
Dose & Co
Collagen Super dose
Weight world collagen
Beauty pie
Vida glow (someone said "good")
Zenii shine fusion

Thank you 😊

Lol since I started this thread I have done precisely nothing about ordering Collagen! Will do it today!
I'm gonna try Ancient and Brave too

I think with so many options, it’s not a surprise. I’ve taken a bunch of different collagens in the US but found they all tasted horrific. I think I was also avoiding spending the big ££ on vital proteins, but Lo’s felt slightly skeptical of the marine collagen and how much of the market they had corned with advertising. So, the idea of having one that was known to not taste terrible in my coffee and seemed a small but respected brand gave me some confidence to go for it. I might try the well brand mentioned but ancient and brave hopefully will do the trick. I say just go for it and don’t let decision paralysis get in the way anymore :)

I agree, one of any of them is better than none. I ordered ancient and Brave as it topped the poll

I've been taking Vital Proteins for a couple of weeks so no idea if it's benefitting me yet.

I have it in coffee or Greek yogurt and I haven't been able to taste it.

Hi, any updates on how people got on with Ancient and Brave? I'm also trying it and wondering how long it takes to feel or see any benefits? TIA.

I've been taking ancient & brave since August and do see a difference in my hair and nails. Has anyone tried Kollo collagen, seen it on insta, it sounds really good and i like the way you can take it straight from the sachet?

@Idunno8 What would be your recommendation?

lurchermummy · 01/03/2025 16:24

I'm taking the collagen glow up by Nutrition Geeks, just three weeks in - apparently you have to take it for months to really see a difference but I do feel my face looks smoother and my turkey neck less wrinkly. No changes to hair or nails yet but it's probably too early. I take it in coffee or miso soup, dissolves completely and no taste.

I've been taking Nutrition Geeks Biotin for years and I swear by it!

I prefer the vegan ‘collagens’ or marine as they are better absorbed by the body. Also liquid collagens are fine but contain exactly the same thing as capsules but at a much higher price without any additional beauty ingredients. I would recommend Viridian Collagen capsules or Terranova Vollagen capsules. A great price and excellent formulas, they’re produced by really good team that only source the cleanest ingredients.
