Eyeliner for upper lash line?

Please can someone recommend me a product for just tracing the uppper lash line? Not waterline or over lashes with a flick, just along lash roots to make them look thicker. Should this be gel, kohl, kajal or pot with brush? I am lost. Thank you.

I find the maybelline pot with brush to be the easiest to apply.

Victoria Beckham or Zoeva, the velvet one.

I use dark eyeshadow (Lily Lolo) applied with a small flat angled brush.

I use a black ink liner. It is like a tiny little marker.

I use either a Revolution dual tipped one which has a retractable kohl on one end and a felt liner on the other.

I was also gifted a brand called Mally which I hadn't heard of before, that's a retractable kohl and my current favourite so far.

I don't do any fancy styling or flicks, just enough to make my lash line/lashes look darker and prettier.

I always use a liquid eyeliner especially for this. I prefer a matte one as anything that has a sheen can look odd in the light. I just use good ole (cheap) Rimmel.

Should also add....Test a few as some (liquid eyeliners) do have a tendency to flake.

Laura Mercier gel liner pencil in espresso brown. It does not budge. The best of all I have tried. Victoria Beckham satin kajal liner is the next best one.
