Sun hats and suitcases

Hi all. I am looking for a new sun hat and ideally one which doesnt get knackered from being in a suitcase. Or do any wise mumsnetters have any tips for packing a sun hat cleverly? I know i can wear/carry on plane but would rather not. TIA

Take a look at the hats which pack flat in Mountain Warehouse. They, surprisingly, have some lovely dresses too. Well, at least l was surprised!

I bought one from Accessorize, look for “packable” in the description. I bought this one, although I went planning to buy a different style

Put the hat upside-down in the case and pack things in it and around it.

I got a big floppy straw hat type from primark, been packed in a suitcase there and back and still looking good!

Ii just have a big floppy hat which I put in the case upside down and pack around/in it. Sort of make a wall of clothes round the edges of my case, pop the hat in then fill the head bit with underwear.
