What nice knickers do you buy?
I have a bit of a belly but quite a flat bum. I find a lot of knickers roll down. I've ended up buying packets of full briefs which are comfy but I feel very frumpy!

Wirarpa high waist knickers, recommended on here I think.
big but supportive

Lilacapples · 10/08/2024 11:19

2nd the Wirapa ones on Amazon.

HamSad · 10/08/2024 12:21

M&S do high waisted control pants, they aren't super restrictive but they are amazing. The shorts ones don't ride up or roll down. They're two for £12 and have six pairs, they're my absolute favourite knickers now.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 10/08/2024 12:28

I also wear Wirarpa, they have a few slightly different styles, this style is the one that I like. https://www.amazon.co.uk/wirarpa-Waisted-Underwear-Panties-Breathable/dp/B081SL2MNK?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1

The only negative thing I can say about them is that the purple ones gradually change from that nice pale purple to a kind of washed out purple grey that looks like it was once white but got washed with colours. But nobody sees my underwear so it doesn't bother me that much, otherwise they wash brilliantly, all the other colours stay true and they hold their shape.

I second these. They’re not super tight like normal shape wear but do offer some light tummy control.

Bin85 · 10/08/2024 12:36

Innersy from Amazon are really comfortable and stay up.

Pigeonqueen · 10/08/2024 12:41

I am only really comfy in m and s full cotton briefs. Everything else rolls down or rides up!

Lj8893 · 10/08/2024 12:46

Matalan do a 3 pack of high waisted pants which are so comfy but also feel quite sexy as they are high legged.

hamsad and mammatoo
I have had a look on M&S but not sure which ones you mean... is it these?

These all the way. Like you, I've a bit of a belly and a flat bum, 18 too.

It can be such a challenge to find knickers that fit well and don’t roll down! It’s so important to feel comfortable and confident in what you’re wearing. I’m a bit further along in years and have had my share of knicker woes, so I really do understand.

For me, the key has been finding knickers that offer support without feeling restrictive. The M&S high-waisted control pants have been a game changer—they’re comfy, stay put, and don’t make me feel frumpy at all. They give a bit of tummy support, which I find really helps with that rolling down issue.

Now, if you’re looking for something a bit more spicy for those special moments, I’d suggest having a look at the lace and sheer options from Knickerbox. They’re high-waisted, so they still offer that lovely support, but with a touch of elegance and allure. I must admit, I have a pair for those occasions when I want to feel a bit more... daring.

It’s all about finding what makes you feel good, so don’t be afraid to try a few different styles until you find the ones that make you feel fab.

Tesco F&F boy short style

learieonthewildmoor · 10/08/2024 21:57

Jockey Parisian full brief. The lace makes them feel less like Nonna pants. 😄

So I'm an 18 and generally find M&S high leg knickers are good. Not overly supportive, but don't roll down. Think they do a firm one too.

Remind what a waist is.

Bugbabe1970 · 10/08/2024 22:06

M&S high waisted
can’t bare knickers that roll down
love big pants and they hold everything in

HolidayHappy123 · 10/08/2024 23:35

Prima Donna is pricy but lovely. I particularly like their Orlando range which never roll down. Deauville is their best seller but it is less of a silky feel. The bras are amazingly comfortable as well as being pretty.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 11/08/2024 00:00

I’m a 18 at the moment and I third/fourth? the Wirapa make on Amazon mentioned here - good quality, comfy and true to size. I do have the high waisted cotton ones mentioned (and they were brilliant for after a c section and are now my “comfort” nighttime pants for during my period) but they are very high waisted so aren’t especially attractive and will show over the waistband of some trousers.

So for day to day I prefer the look of the mid waist cotton ones - they do only come in black though and I’d personally prefer it if they were higher leg too, but I still haven’t found anything better for the quality/comfort/price ratio.

Some of those are gorgeous, however if I paid nearly 70 quid for a pair of pants I'd be wearing them over my trousers a la superman 😂
