Best body scrub

Can anyone recommend a good body scrub please? I've tried loofah, shower puffs and exfoliating gloves, and moisturising of course, but I can't seem to smooth the tops of arms. Thanks in advance.

I like Franks body scrub, messy but good. You could make your own with ground coffee and coconut oil.

Elemis Lime and Ginger

Soap and Glory, but the one you apply to dry skin, not wet as a much cheaper alternative

Acidenzyme Exfoliating wash by beauty pie works an absolute treat - I use it on face too but it’s really sorted out the bumpy arms!

Korean Italy cloths after a bath
Or easier to use a long scrubby cloth ( recommended on here)

Nicest scrub I found was Bodyshop Pink Grapefruit

Thanks everyone. There's a Boots and an M&S where I'm going this morning so I'll take a look at some of the recommendations.

Keratosis pilaris

Toooldforthis36 · 10/08/2024 12:08

KP is keratosis pilaris aka the red bumpy arms! X

NigelHarmansNewWife · 10/08/2024 14:16

Mine aren't smooth, but aren't red either. I got Soap and Glory Flake Away so will see how that goes. Boots have got S&G on a three for two offer at the moment.

I used the scrub and have put cerave moisturiser on afterwards. No sure it's any better than the things I've tried already. I probably need to do/use something more frequently/consistently.

For my bumpy arms the best thing I've found is tree hut scrub and then body shop body yoghurt on top once you're dry.

StormingNorman · 10/08/2024 23:39

Could the cerave be too heavy? I always used those heavy white creams until I realised they were blocking the pores on my legs and making them itchy and bumpy. I use the E45 spray cream now. It’s just as deeply moisturising but not as heavy and no more bumpy legs.

Clarins do the best scrubs but they’re quite expensive. I’d try your S&G scrub again with a lighter moisturiser first.

WildFlowerBees · 11/08/2024 07:16

Cerave takes a few days it's packed with ceramides so good for repairing the skin. I use it everyday and my skin has never felt softer.

NigelHarmansNewWife · 11/08/2024 10:21

The Cerave isn't heavy. It's pretty much down to lack of consistency of doing anything about it on my part then expecting an instant improvement.
