Daily sunscreen that doesn’t cause breakouts??

Hi,
Does anyone have any sunscreen recommendations that don’t cause breakouts or at least less breakouts? I have tried so many things and it is really depressing, I feel like I either have to not use daily spf or suffer with painful cystic acne and little white pimples. :(

sunscreens I’ve tried:

  • Hello Sunday Mineral sunscreen
  • Hello Sunday Matte sunscreen
  • Eucerin oil control matte sunscreen
  • La Roche Posay Anthelios sunscreen
  • Garnier BHA + Niacinamide sunscreen
  • Nivea UV Sensitive
  • Nivea UV Shine Control
  • So many other normal sunscreens :(

please help! Feel like I have no idea what to try next and it just sucks. My skin gets very oily & clogs super easily.

I get this too OP
i wear Revitalift day cream SPF 50 and it’s great, I’m very pale but don’t burn.

I like Clinique super city block.

Beauty Pie spf50

I have used the Cerave spf 50 day cream and it hasn’t made me break out. Most other brands haven’t worked for me either. I should say I have dry skin. Biore watery essence often gets recommended on here but I haven’t tried it.

I've never had any breakouts with the Cetaphil one, and I'm very prone to breaking out with products https://www.boots.com/cetaphil-daily-defence-moisturiser-10246697

Another vote for revitalift!
Acne prone and will break out at the mention of foundation, let alone most sunscreens, but this is lovely and gives a nice blur/glow too

No7 future renew damage protection, amazing stuff and not thick and oily, not too expensive either

WayDownThere · 06/08/2024 20:46

I use a Bare Minerals primer which is SPF 30.

Which revitalift day cream is it? The filler spf50 or day cream spf30? Can’t find a day cream spf 50 :)

I started using a otc retinaldehyde cream and it stopped me breaking out with sunscreen - only thing that’s worked for me! Not sure it’s doing much anti ageing but worth it for sorting the spots 😂

Fillowing

Yellowflowerr · 06/08/2024 21:07

Thank you all for the recommendations, I’ll have a look at them and give them a try - hoping one of them works! Feel free to let me know if some of the ones mentioned worked for you as they did others so I know which ones are most likely to help! :)

The only ones that work for me are the Korean formulas, Isntree is my favourite.

BeaLola · 06/08/2024 21:19

Ultra Violette or Mecca are the 2 I use - SPF 50

I started a thread asking the exact same question on the weekend had lots of helpful replies

SPF for face that doesn't cause breakouts http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/styleandd_beauty/5132734-spf-for-face-that-doesnt-cause-breakouts

LadyGAgain · 06/08/2024 21:28

Ultra violette. It's amazing!

spikeandbuffy · 06/08/2024 21:32

Are you taking it off properly as in with a double cleanse? It's designed to stay on so takes a bit of time to remove

TheWebsFromAllTheSpiders · 06/08/2024 21:33

Heliocare gel oil free

Yes, I start to get spots within 1-2 hours of wearing it, I am always so careful to cleanse it all off afterwards but by that point it’s usually too late as the spots have already started :( they clear up in a few days as long as I’m not wearing any spf. It’s frustrating

Ultra sun is good - I like the factor 50 face anti aging lotion (purple label), my skin is dry but I get breakouts from all other sunscreens so might be worth a try, or one of the other ones they do

stickybear · 06/08/2024 22:52

I have very spot prone skin and have to be very careful with what I put on it. I've been using the Tropic SPF50 for about six months now and haven't had any breakouts, so I'm very pleased! It's nice and light and smells like a banana milkshake Smile
