Wedding dress places I haven’t thought of - budget £300

Hi
This is actually a post on behalf of my sister. She’s getting married in February, it’s her second wedding so she doesn’t want a big meringue or anything. She’s tried the usual suspects - monsoon, coast, John Lewis etc, has anyone got recommendations for other less well known websites she could try?

Thanks

Lots of different brands here

Also trying googling for ‘high street wedding dresses’

Phase eight have a couple under £300.

Ever pretty also have a few budget wedding dresses. I’ve seen a few posts on here about their bridesmaids dresses being lovely on.

I got my monsoon wedding dress on Vinted, I paid £35 plus postage, I had it shortened by a seamstress in my village for £36. It was originally £249. I'm 51 and I had planned to wear a short dress for my second wedding but I'm really pleased I went for full length. There are so many beautiful gowns that people have ordered and not been able to return or worn once, the only problem is deciding what style to go for.

Do a search for white bridesmaid dresses, lots come up that she might like.

Does she want a "wedding dress" or a lovely gown that can be worn to get married in?

If the latter then she should check out the Outnet, Luisa Via Roma, Yoox, Net a porter etc for a designer bargain.

Our local oxfam has a brilliant bridal department - mine is Chippenham, wilts but I know they have one in London and maybe others?

I picked up my last formal gown from there for £60!

Ribenaberry12 · 04/08/2024 18:09

Does she want new? Oxfam bridal sell online.

useitorlose · 04/08/2024 18:18

Kitty and Dulcie. Mine was the Pearly Queen. It fit really well except I had to take the bust in a bit as I didn't fill it.

Thanks so much for all the replies, I’ve sent her a link to this thread!

If she likes a 50s style, have a look at Vivian of Holloway, lovely frocks

Loads of second hand wedding dress sites on fb - most dresses go for less than 1/3 actual price now and have either not been worn or only for a few hours.

PurpleWhirple · 05/08/2024 19:28

Randomly, ASOS has some

GettingStuffed · 06/08/2024 12:53

Coast have some in the sale.
