Earring hole stretching

I have recently started wearing earrings again—about the last five years. I have been wearing small huggie hoops, nothing heavy. However, today I had a second piercing and noticed the old holes appear to be a tiny slits now.

Any ideas?

Mine are like this too. I don't wear heavy earrings either. I think it's just age!

It means I don't like to go without earnings as the slits are not pretty. I have had pierced ears for over 40 years though.

It's aging yeah

Can it be reduced?

Had mine done when I was 4 and am now 46. Didn't wear any for 2 decades!

I think it can only be reduced through surgery. I stopped wearing earrings completely in my early 30s because of this. It looks so painful to me even though I know it isn't and I didn't want longer ears.

I'm starting to wonder whether it is the hoops. I have taken them out for a while. They look like these slits.

It's just gravity. Even if the hoops are light they will still add pressure to your earlobes and they will stretch slightly just from wearing them.

I’ve always wondered if you can get a fat transfer injection into the earlobes. It seems extreme but I do enjoy earrings
