Have these trousers have become fashionable again? I'm seeing similar styles around and about on fashionable creatures.

I've been hanging on to them for about 23 years because I love them and also in anticipation of a fashion resurgence.

Is this it? Is the resurgence happening? Can I finally wear them again without looking like a Some Saints* reject?

If so, what to wear them with?

Yes cargos are everywhere. I think they look great with a tshirt that sits just above them , and pair with trainers. That is what I like to wear with mine, like this....

I've got a pair in the wardrobe that fit me up until last year but I've put on some weight in the last few months so now they're too small. Oh well, teen DD would be mortified if I wore anything that might be considered remotely "trendy".

I'd hazard a guess that many of the women who wore them first time around - a good 25 years ago, don't have such flat middles.
I'm very slim, exercise loads but at 53 and 2 kids there's skin there - walking around would be fine, but it would poke out as soon as I sat down. Oh wait....maybe I need to be raving!

That’s how I wore mine 25 years ago. If I did that now, there’d be a small but unpleasant roll of fat poking out of the gap.
