What's everyone wearing to the office this week?

I work from home so would normally wear a strappy dress or shorts and a vest top but need to go into the office this week and am struggling to get a balance between keeping cool and dressing modestly. (Teachers always seem to strike this balance well)

Tips gratefully received!

My got to hot weather office wear outfits are-

Long airy wrap shirt dress with elbow length sleeves from the Ines de Fressange collection at Uniqlo.

Short sleeved linen/viscose mix shirt dress from Uniqlo.

Cotton wide leg trousers and a structured cotton t shirt.

Long dark blue linen/cotton mix full skirt with a short sleeve floral cotton blouse.

Cotton khaki trousers with a short sleeved cotton blouse.

A full cotton floral midi skirt from Zara with a dark blue drape t shirt from Uniqlo.

All worn with birkenstocks or a pair of low heeled strappy sandals from Camper if I need to be bit smarter.

Bascially I avoid anything sleeveless and make sure all dresses/skirts are cotton/linen mix and at least midi length. It keeps me cool but is also appropriate. Plainer fabrics are also better (some floral fabrics but not too tropical or holiday like).

Long floaty dress, shirt dress, sleeveless but not strappy dress. Cotton blouse and maxi skirt.

And culottes! Mid length ones

I wear this sort of thing on hot work days (teacher) with Birkenstocks. Linen blend and sleeveless.

Thank you all, that's super helpful. And good reminder that the right fabrics are as important as styles and cuts. Will review my cotton and linen options.

We were not permitted to show shoulders or wear sandals in my old school!

I would hate that!

As long as we don’t wear flipflops, jeans or spaghetti straps, we are good to go!
