If you had to wear one forever, what would it be?

I think mine would be Chanel Chance Eau Tendre.

Also my favourite at the moment although it changes.

Prada Original

Enko · 28/07/2024 10:29

Rose Goldea by Bvlgari if I can only have 1

Also love coco mademoiselle by Chanel
And Samsara by Guarlain

mumonthehill · 28/07/2024 10:29

Eau de Givenchy in a blue bottle- but almost impossible to find these days.

margotsdevil · 28/07/2024 10:31

Hermes Rhubarb eclarte - fresh and fruity but with enough depth and staying power to last all day.

PenguinCounter · 28/07/2024 10:49

Ooh so difficult to pick just one. I have about 8 on rotation at the moment.

For now I think it would be Mandorlo di Sicilia by Aqua Di Parma. Despite being a gourmand it works in all seasons.

Shay and Blue blood oranges

Me too! (But I only wear it when the sun is shining).

notasgreenasiamcabbagelooking · 28/07/2024 11:01

It's not my absolute favourite but for an all-purpose perfume I think I'd have to choose Prada Infusion d'Iris.

VenusClapTrap · 28/07/2024 11:07

Miller Harris Poirier d’un Soir

CurlewKate · 28/07/2024 11:17

I've worn White Linen for 30 years!

LoveLabradors · 28/07/2024 11:21

Chanel no19. Was given it on my 18th birthday and have worn it ever since. I love it.

GirlOfThe70s · 28/07/2024 11:28

Allure by Chanel. I used to love Shalimar by Guerlain and my husband said it smelled like "old lady " scent (I am an old lady though!), still wear it though. For every day I like Mimosa & Cardamom by Jo Malone.
In my younger days it was Cinnabar by Estée Lauder or Opium by YSL

CakeAtFour · 28/07/2024 11:28

That’s hard, as I love perfume. But the one I always come back to is Love by Chloe. It’s discontinued, but I have back/up bottles and have also found a decent dupe.

Failing that, Feminin Pluriel by MFK.Very versatile, easy to wear floral.

Petrine · 28/07/2024 11:43

Guerlain L’Heure Bleue

Gymmum82 · 28/07/2024 11:47

Anna Sui secret wish. It’s discontinued and I’ve never found anything that comes close

ElsaLion · 28/07/2024 11:48

Rosa Novella from Santa Maria Novella. More expensive than most perfumes, but to me it's a long-term investment for special occasions!

I hate this idea of "old lady" smells. A few years ago I often used to buy Clinque Aromatic Elixir in duty free when I was stocking up on other Clinique products. It's not my favourite perfume but it was my spray on lots on holiday perfume. Not sure why it became my "holiday perfume"

I was wearing it at work one day and was asked in a lift what my lovely perfume was. Told the (idiot) person asking who replied "oh I always thought that was an old lady perfume"

Current favourites are Hermès Ambre Narguille and Merchant of Venice Byzantium Saffron.

CorneliaStreet · 28/07/2024 11:49

In summer, Miller Harris Secret Gardenia
In winter, Mon Guerlain

SoManyBadgers · 28/07/2024 12:14

I can't wait until the day it's possible to smell through the internet. I want to try all the perfumes you're mentioning, and most of them don't seem to be the kind you find at The Fragrance Shop!

I love Coco Mademoiselle and Boss Orange. But my favourite smell is a little fragrance oil rollerball from Boots that I've had for over twenty years. Completely unobtainable now and it doesn't even say what the smell comprises of so I can't search for similar. I allow myself a little roll and sniff a couple of times a year.

Athena51 · 28/07/2024 12:22

A lot of perfumes make me sneeze or give me a headache but I love Nuxe as previously mentioned but my current favourite is Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede, it seems to really suit my skin.

poppym12 · 28/07/2024 12:23

Fico di Amalfi (Acqua di Parma).

Day to day I wear another fig perfume but this one is my favourite, it's just a bit expensive for daily wear for me.

LoneHydrangea · 28/07/2024 12:26

I wear a few different perfumes but my absolute favourite, and the one I wear even if I’m home all day, is Eau Dynamisante. I have a bottle in every bag, my work laptop bag, my glove box, a kitchen drawer, my office. I just adore the smell.

Toooldforthis36 · 28/07/2024 12:27

Clarins eau dynamisante. Red bottle .

GirlOfThe70s · 28/07/2024 13:35

@IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle - my most stylish and glamorous, and much younger friend only wears Aromatic, but I do think I know what people mean about "old lady" scents. And Aromatic is definitely not one of them!

Deathraystare · 28/07/2024 13:36

Too hard picking one
Mitsouko/Shalimar/L'heure Bleu/Fidji/Clarins Dynamiste/Dior Dune/Hypmotic Poison and several Estee Lauder ones
