Slip-on trainers

I'll be travelling at the end of August, and looking for some comfy yet stylish slip on trainers. Easy for airport security, then can slip off on the plane (will keep socks on!), but sturdy enough for light hikes.

I'd like the ability to wear light socks or without, so something airy and not too heavy. Any ideas or suggestions?

Vans Comfy Cush slip ons

mdinbc · 24/07/2024 17:26

Hmmm, all the vans Comfy Cush ones I see are lace-up. I know the teens tend to lace them loosely so they can be slipped off, but I don't like to do that.

Also for some reason, the Vans classic slip-on tend to slide off my heel, so I'm flip-flopping!

What do you think of these?

Skechers Go walk are always very light and comfy.

My first instinct is to avoid Skechers, I think I have a 'frumpy' association with these, but looking at their website, there are a few options that are nice.

I also notice shoes are being called slip-ins, step-ins or walk-ins now instead of slip-ons, and it does bring up a lot more options when you are googling.
I see now that ON and New Balance have some slip ons., so I'll keep looking.

Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 slip on. So comfortable.

I've got the Skechers ones and they're awful, far too stretchy - they're fine around the house but have no support for a walk.

Any trainers can be made slip on using these no tie laces from Amazon. I've got them in all my shoes now!
