Thin cotton leggings

I need some thin, cotton leggings. I have contact dermatitis and when I sleep in bedding that has been laundered using things I am allergic to (most laundry products) I get painful rashes where my skin has rested in contact with the bedding. So when I go away I sleep in leggings and a long-sleeved, high-neckline t-shirt. This is usually fine in a UK summer, but I can struggle in a hotter climate.

Hence my search for thin cotton leggings. Or cotton-viscose.

All my current leggings are properly opaque. Online retailers don't care to advertise that their leggings are so thin that you will have no secrets, but I suspect that's what I need.

Help?

I buy mine from next. They’re not uber clingy, really soft and comfortable, I even wear them in the summer and don’t get too hot. The order code is 979 652 for the black ones, sorry I don’t know how to attach the link. I’ve had them for years and love them.

I have several pairs of exactly what you're describing - unfortunately I got them from Lidl so they aren't always in stock but worth keeping an eye out for them.

Have you considered silk? Patra make some lovely thin silk leggings that I wear as long underwear in winter, but also in bed in summer sometimes. I've had mine for about 10 years, they wash well and last forever.

I hadn't, no. I find silk very warm. Pre-dc I used to wear woven silk blouses to work, but never in summer. I wonder whether jersey silk would be different? So tempting...
