Trainers for Disney trip

5 full days in Paris at the very start of the spring. Hoping to get a few decent pairs of trainers now that I can break over the next few months. I’m expecting to be doing a fair number of steps over the trip!

  • Likely to have mixed weather so maybe waterproof? Or at least quick to dry!
  • I have wider feet so nothing too tapered
  • I know a lot of people love Sketchers but they’re just not for me. They don’t fit me well at all!
  • For daily wear I usually wear Air Force 1s (they’re heavy on the foot), or Superga

Can anyone recommend any styles/brands?

I would just buy the most cushioned sports trainer I could find. I have some adidas that are really spongy but I'm sure lots of brands of running trainer willl have similar it just depends which fit your feet best.

My adidas osweego’s did miles around Disney Orlando with not a blister. Depending on when in spring, I’ve also done Disney Paris in uggs. Both very comfy.

@understatedeleganza I’ll need to go for a big try on I think!

@BuntyCollocks Going during the first half of March 😊 I can’t wear uggs 🙈 they really hurt my feet. I think I’ll have to go and have a try on. I have some New Balance that are quite comfy, maybe I’ll see what else they have!

I have Adidas Oswegos and I've just bought some New Balance fresh foam. Can walk for miles in both and they are super comfy.

I bought sketchers go walk for a 3 week holiday in Japan. We did about 30000 steps a day. My feet were fine!

I usually wear Airforce or dunks/Jordans feel like Nike dunks are much lighter on the feet than af1 so if that sort of style suits you maybe those, I wore my “panda” dunks all round italy a few months ago (27k one day) round lake como etc and they were comfortable considering the amount of walking, and didn’t rub.

Also recently purchased a pair of new balances, and they feel like nothing on my feet (I agree with you that sketchers aren’t for me either) they’re almost a mesh and suede so dry super quickly and they have a toggle instead of laces which is ideal for lots of walking, only issue I had with them is that I had to size up 1
