What will help my husbands skin?

My husband has always had bad skin but just on his back, we have just got back from holiday and I think the heat (possibly lots of sun tan lotion?) has irritated it because it’s looking really bad at the moment. He says it’s not itchy or painful. I’ve just cleansed it all with my usual salicylic acid cleaner and put some toner in it (Pixi Glow) but I don’t know if this is counterproductive, I’m wondering if anyone has dealt with similar skin problems and if there is a product that has helped?

I'd get a doctor or pharmacist to have a look, it looks very irriated with white heads so may need antibiotics or a cream. For now I'd just use warm water with a neutral soap and none of your lotions,

Yes, that needs looking at by a professional.

Probably something like Skinoren (prescribed) would help, but that would mean you applying it for him once or twice a day.
I think he might be offered Roaccutane for that. Definitely see a doctor about it.

My DH has exactly the same. It got a lot better when he stopped using anti dandruff shampoo and switched to sanex shower gel. Sun usually helps though

Salicylic acid soap helped my DS’s back spots. Pink one from amazon cant remember the brand.
