Pro-retinol sensitivity

Has anyone experienced sensitivity to pro-retinol? I know you need to build up tolerance to retinol but I thought pro-retinol was more gentle. Should I keep going with it or give up?

You only need a tiny amount, most sensitivity is caused by using too much. You can also put vaseline underneath as that slows down the absorption and stops damage. It's also worth reducing the times per week you use it.

Which product/s are you using at the moment? Could it be something else in your skincare routine that is causing the sensitivity

Thanks @GettingStuffed I think I put too
much on yesterday so I’ll use less and less often.
@BlueBlueBerries nothing else around my eyes which is where the sensitivity is. I think I just used too much, too often.

The skin around the eyes is very thin, so more delicate than the rest of the facial skin. Is is an eye specific product?

Skincare consultant here. Would recommend applying every other/ every third night and gradually increasing :)
