Intimate waxing in York - recommendations?

As per the title - I'm looking for a place that will do a decent job of a high/ g-string type bikini wax. The last couple of places I've been to have been crap and left me with more hair down below than I asked for, very annoying just before going on a beach holiday.

Any recommendations for next time? York city centre ideally.

Hi OP

I go to Christine's in Acomb: https://www.christinesnails.co.uk/

I don't get intimate waxing done any more but I've had it done there in the past and they were great. I still go for eyebrows there though.

Its not city centre but only about a mile-ish out - 10 minute bus, 25 minute walk. If youre driving, there's parking right opposite on Morrisons car park.

If you do go with them, don't bother trying to phone for an appointment, book online.

Thanks! Acomb is easy for me so I'll check them out next time.

I hope the suggested salon gets it right for you OP. I can’t help with further suggestions for that area, but do be clear when you go about exactly what you want. I always have Hollywoods so the amount of hair left is not an issue for me. But if you think they have left more hair than you want tell them so before you leave the consultation room.

It’s the same as a hairdressers. They can take more off but they can’t out it back.

Ive also had some really sub par waxes and had to hunt to find somewhere. I go to the Bothy on Tadcaster Rd, Stacey is excellent, and quick!

Thanks all! Agree in principle @StarlightLady but sometimes it's hard to tell until you're home. Also you'd then have to get dressed and go out and say it in the reception area which I admit I'd find awkward! I've had better waxes when I lived elsewhere so I don't think it's me.

@LittleMy77 speed is definitely appreciated in a waxer, thanks for the recommendation!

Agree with The Bothy. Is a fab place and not too far out of town off Tadcaster Road.

Thanks OP. My beautician uses a mirror to ensure you are happy with the result.

Oh wow! I've never had this - I definitely need to find somewhere new!
