I would like a bra that gives a good shape but the straps don't dig into my shoulders. 34ff. Any suggestions please?

I have worn Elomi bras for years, & they are excellent. I am a 38F.

I like Fantasie, the Fusion is my favourite

curious79 · 20/07/2024 07:16

At that size I have found Triumph armourette to be consistently comfortable

autienotnaughti · 20/07/2024 07:20

Fir a cheaper option. I'm a 36DD and these are really comfy

Panache bras.

If the straps dig in then surely the fit isn't right for you. Have you been to somewhere decent for a fitting? Is there a Bravissimo near you?

OMGsamesame · 20/07/2024 07:23

Yeah if the shoulder straps dig in you may need a smaller back size (and bigger cup?)

If your budget allows it, Rigby and Peller is a game changer. Comfortable bras with incredible lift. I'm a 30G and I love them.

I'm a 36G and I have only ever bought M&S bras. Very comfy :)

Yes! I love these too.

I agree about getting fitted at Bravissimo- - I was properly fitted at Rackhams in Birmingham about 30 years ago ( I was in 38C- she put me in 34G) walked out in amazement feeling like I wasn’t wearing a bra for the first time in my life

Also recommend Curvy Kate - 32H here. I think m and s are excellent too. Definitely go for a fitting though and remember that old bras also fit worse over time as the elastic loosens.

Look for a specific DD+ range as they tend to have wider or padded straps

WrylyAmused · 20/07/2024 08:22

Not pretty, but the M&S underwired sports bras (£30 for a 2 pack) are very comfortable, have wide comfy straps and can be converted from standard to cross back (and halter, though that's slightly odd in context).

They go up to an H cup, but you need to get on the right product, another listing is the A-E cup sizes. www.marksandspencer.com/2pk-high-impact-wired-sports-bras-f-h/p/clp60536669?prevPage=srp#intid=pid_pg1pip48g2r5c2

Don't get measured at M and S. They measure incorrectly.

Isabelle70 · 20/07/2024 19:18

I like the Panache Ana, can be a bit uncomfortable to start with but after a few wears and washes perfect.
I think 80% of the support is meant to come from the bra band so if the straps are giving you problems maybe down a band size and up some cup sizes.

Adella from Brastop, the plunge one. Most comfortable bra I’ve ever had. I usually wear Fantasie as the least worst option, but these are better (and cheaper). Elomi are also very good, but more expensive. I’ve also had good Flirtelle bras from Brastop. Curvy Kate, I find are not consistent, size wise.

mateysmum · 20/07/2024 19:24

For a smooth T shirt bra I recommend Fantasie Rebecca. Really comfortable.
