Boobs & body after pregnancy

I have the teeniest bee-stings known to man 🐝

They stopped growing when I was 12 and no matter how much weight I put on, they don't change.

Boyfriend and I are hoping to have a baby within the next year or two (very much counting my chickens here as we're both a bit older, but trying to think positive thoughts!) and I've been idly wondering how my body might change if I become a mama. Will I feel like a different person?

Did your body change drastically after having a baby? Did it eventually go back to how it was before, or were the changes permanent?

Small boob ladies - how do they compare now to how they were pre-baby?

I bought some Pepper bras in the sale recently and much as I'd love a fuller bust I will be annoyed if I have to permanently replace them all 😆

My boobs are smaller and saggier after having kids! They got pretty big in pregnancy and early BF days. My nipples are permanently erect.

Tbh I'm quite glad. Easier to find clothes etc.

I have inverted nipples and have always wondered if this would change after a baby!

Mine literally didn't change at all during or after pregnancy but I believe this is unusual! DD+ size though 🙈

mondaytosunday · 19/07/2024 20:44

No change. Was a 36c before and same after (well 38c as put on weight). Two kids, BF second for a year.

Agiftandacurse · 19/07/2024 21:22

My body hasn't changed at all (2 kids). Actually my nipples are bigger!

Bimbleb · 19/07/2024 21:29

I've always been a B cup but went up to a D during both my pregnancies and probably slightly bigger again whilst breastfeeding. I stopped feeding a few months ago and within a few weeks was back to a B cup and think they look pretty much the same as before.

Body wise for me personally it's definitely changed but not in ways that anyone else would ever notice so to other people I think I look exactly the same. Have gone back to previous weight etc (I am and always have been an exercise fanatic which helps!). I have scars from a C-section with DS and episiotomy with DD but even C-section one is well below bikini line so nobody will ever see them except me and DH and can't say they bother me, small price to pay for having my lovely kids!

I had small but decent perky boobs before pregnancy. During pregnancy they grew and grew, and were wonderful! I went up through the sizes so had to buy new bras. Then when baby arrived I breastfed, so had to buy nursing bras.

Unfortunately, post-pregnancy & breastfeeding they became shrunken empty deflated hopeless-looking little things. I know it doesn't go this way for everyone, but it did for me. I don't think it was the breastfeeding that did it though, it was pregnancy.

Cherubs4 · 19/07/2024 22:07

After my first pregnancy they were nice and neat and lifted - inverted nipples also became erect and rounded. Pre pregnancy I was a 32E, post 32/34D... Every pregnancy after has left them a bit droopier to the extent that I'd like to have them remodelled/reduced a bit. Have breastfed each child for 2 years which takes it's toll eventually

VelvetChaise · 19/07/2024 22:09

My went from an 32A cup to a 32C/D cup and have stayed like that 6 years on. I did breastfeed pretty much constantly for 4 years though.

I have tiny tits. During pregnancy and breastfeeding they got a bit bigger … and then went back to being exactly the same as before.

On the positive side I’m in my 50s now and they don’t sag! Also, more importantly, I had loads of milk to feed my babies. It may be fashionable to carry more fat in that area, but they fulfilled their function and I like to think that’s what counts 😊

Did your body change drastically after having a baby? Did it eventually go back to how it was before, or were the changes permanent?

I have 2 kids aged 3 and 1.

My babies gave me a para umbilical hernia so I have a huge lump on my stomach and I can't really do any great exercise to tone the muscles while I await surgery for that. So that's a change.

I have love handles and have to wear shapewear daily which I never used to. My weight is pretty much the same as before babies give or take 0.2kg, but I carry the weight differently.

Pregnancy has made my boobs super saggy and breastfeeding with 2 babes each favouring the same side has made my boobs bigger, saggier and uneven to the extent that I am apparently eligible for NHS corrective surgery / breast augmentation/reduction. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I was a B cup (and M&S 'B' though, now a Bravissimo FF).

I have permanent back ache. That is new too, post-babies but could also be age? I'm edging closer to 40.

I don't think my body is going to return to how it was and I'm ok with that. I have 2 gorgeous blessings that make me the happiest I could be.

I’ve had one child so far (2 years ago) and absolutely nothing changed except my weird extra skin on the belly that makes me look like a kangaroo. Same bra size since I was about 17. Im 25 now and still mammarily challenged 😂

Rachelandmarty · 19/07/2024 22:38

My tiny boobs got tinier. I am quite thin though so i think that makes a difference- I’m a 32c which is really small. They are mostly just skin with permanently erect nipples now (glad someone else says they have this too after babies - no idea why this happens!) - I hate them. My chest looks like a child’s.

heartbrokenof · 19/07/2024 22:52

No change to boobs or nipples and had two kids now. Was a 36c and still a 36c even with significant weight gain 🤣

mdinbc · 19/07/2024 22:55

I was very small pre-pregnancy, 32a. I felt more feminine with a bit larger breasts while pregnant , although I was blessed with too much milk; leaking and squirting everywhere, also getting engorged and once suffered mastitis. I didn't breastfeed for very long, only a few months with each baby.

I did keep a bit of weight on with each pregnancy, around 5 lbs, and by breasts did get a bit larger, settling into a b or c cup after the age of 30. I didn't get stretch marks, but did find my waist and rib cage were wider after pregnancy and never went back to the same size.

But we are all different, reading the above posts, you can't really predict what will happen, only to expect some change.
