Rosacea/middle aged skin help?

My beloved EL double wear has let me down! In the last year it's just started evaporating from my face, leaving behind little bobbles of sweaty goo (sorry for that image).
I'm wondering if it's the way I apply it, or just ageing (am early 50s), or if there is something else out there that will give lasting coverage? I wouldn't mind having to top up at lunchtime but this barely lasts an hour, even in cold weather.
I have used the Smashbox primer under it but it seems to make no difference. I used to set it with powder but that is somehow worse now.
I use Soolantra to control the actual rosacea but the redness is permanent now so ideally I'd wear makeup every day.
Has anybody in a similar situation found a magic solution?

Hi,

I use finacea but it’s very drying on the skin. I use a couple of times a week.
In between I use Vaseline at night to keep my skin soft. I can’t use any other products as my skin is very reactive.

I no longer use foundation to cover the red, it’s just too much. I use a concealer to cover these parts now. Nose, cheeks, chin. I use Nars concealer, the one that comes in the little pot. I pat it on and it covers amazingly but I only use it on the red parts, I don’t cover skin that’s not affected.

between the Vaseline and the creamy concealer, I can keep up the illusion of lovely skin!

I use Kalme skin care, if I use it religiously it's by far the best my rosacea ever is. The whole range costs just over £100 that's including the foundation. I don't know how to add a link but give it a Google. I've tried numerous things from the Drs but I keep coming back to this, although I don't always get on with the day defence cream.

My daughter suggested Happy Face from Beauty Pie. After trying La Roche and other brands it is the only one that worked for me. It made my skin lovely and smooth and I can be confident enough to go out without make up. I am very happy with it.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment 😊Just went in to some meetings and nice to come back to some good advice! I should have said specifically it is foundation rather than skincare I need. Other than the red, my skin seems in pretty good condition. I have never managed to do that thing where you only put concealer on, probably because I'm very fair so it just looks blotchy. I will google that Kalme range, thank you.

Cerave hydrating wash and moisturizer and I've recently stopped using DL after years and years and gone over to using Max Factor Facefinity compact applied with a Buffy brush not the sponge it comes with.

Your skin might need a very light exfoliation too.
