Tights and shoes - help!

I know I only seem to come on here when I have a problem but that is because I am seriously lacking in style so don't feel I can contribute much. But now I need your help again....

I just got some much needed new court shoes. An excellent fit and as stylish as I can stand! But they insist on going flying whenever I wear them with tights, as I must if I don't want to blind small children with my legs' extreme whiteness. Any ideas on how the hell I get them to stay on?!

Your wisdom is needed and much appreciated.

Are the insoles shiny and/or slippery? Something with a matte surface will help them stay on.

Otherwise get some heel grips.

Matt and grips in place. I have a feeling I will end up face down legs akimbo tomorrow.

Edited for typo.

Do you have room (in the shoes) for an additionsl pair of insoles? Have you tried a different brand of tights?

DeclansAFeckingDream · 18/07/2024 21:22

You can get tights with silicone strips on the soles. I can't remember where I got mine.

Tried insoles but different tights is an excellent thought. I'll look out for the straps one.

Just wear fake tan or fake leg colour?
For very pale I find the Aldi fake tan foam in medium is super. Need a mitt for each hand and smoosh it on quickly. But it is fantastic.
