The Jetty - help me find the coat….

I’m trying to find where the coat is from as worn by Amelia Bullamore in The Jetty (main characters mother). It looks like crochet squares but made of fabric? Any ideas anyone?

Can't help, I'm afraid, just wanted to say I liked it too. I assumed it was crocheted, in which case it could have been picked up from a craft stall somewhere. Wasn't there a Sewing Bee challenge last year where they made a garment out of a crocheted blanket?

I would guess it's expensive , due to the fact machines can't crochet so if it's crochet it would be handmade. It's lovely

Not the point of the thread but I was watching this last night. You know the thread the other day on how no one can look 10 years younger than that are - Jenna Coleman dispproves that theory - she’s 38 but looks 25.

it is gorgeous and I agree, likely to be expensive. I crochet but think this would be a step too far for me….

When searched for granny square coat Etsy had some for around £200, they were unlined so more like a coatigan
Some similar (ish) on eBay too.
I wonder if it's a fabric to mimic granny squares?
Etsy has someone up cycling vintage afgans (granny square) blankets .
When I tried Google lens it brought up quite a few things ( I can't link as it didn't work on this phone for some unknown reason !)
