Converse - can I stretch them?

I have found, in the sale, a pair of converse high tops I love. Obviously they are available only in a size too small. Do I buy them and stretch them? Has anyone ever successfully tried this?

They have rubber soles with rubber toe ends. This won't stretch

I have converse they don't stretch also they are narrow so if you've got wide feet you always have to go up half a size from your normal size.

See if you can find them in your size with another shop or likes of vinted or eBay.

No they won't stretch.

They are a small fit anyway so I wouldn't do it.

My dd has a few pairs, she is normally a size 4. In converse she is a 5.

Thanks all. I do have narrow feet but it seems these are destined to be loved by someone else.

There really is nothing worse than uncomfortable shoes.

The right pair will come along.

I speak from bitter experience - never buy shoes with the expectation that they’ll stretch (and never listen to the salesperson who assures you they will)

Converse blister toes in the most uncomfortable places imaginable, like in the very corner of where the little toenail meets the flesh or the very tip of the toe just underneath the nail - it's the raw edges and bits of rubber that does it.

You can even have one pair perfect and, like a pair of trousers from any main shop, a pair in another colour will appear fine but actually feel about an inch too small all over once you try to put them on.
