Taken nail varnish off and nails gave large white areas

I've taken my toe nail varnish off and my toe nails gave large white areas on them . Do you ever get this ? What is it ?

Onychomycosis? If so you can get treatment from a pharmacy

Keratin granulation. It's from the nail being covered for too long. Leave them unpainted for a while and they'll recover. I think you can get stuff to help them on their way, but I just rub them with a general moisturiser too feel like I'm doing something..!

Some fungal nail things look similar, so it may be that, but the most common is probably that it's just keratin granulation.
