Fitflop question

Can anyone tell me what Fitflop sizing is like please? I've got my eye on some toe post sandals in the sale. I'm a 5.5 and often find in Clarks and Skechers sandals, toe post styles with no ankle straps, that a 5 is fine - otherwise I seem to lots of the insole showing round my foot iyswim, which I'm not keen on. I like the Gracie styles and the ordinary flip flops. TIA

I'm a size 7 and a big Fitflop fan. I've always found them spot on for sizing.

I am a 5 in most shoes but a 4 in Fitflop! They fit me perfect with no extra surrounding sole - that doesn't help as PP said they are true to size for her!

Their sizing is accurate for me. I find them so comfy.

Argh!! I suppose I could buy both a 5 and a 5.5 and return one.

I'm usually a 7 and a 7 is bang on for me from Fitflop.

I'm a 9 and FitFlop 9s fit me perfectly in all of the styles I've tried.

I'm the same as you, OP, in that with "open-style" sandals I can usually get a size 5, even though with shoes I usually need a 5.5 or 6.
I have FitFlop sandals with criss-cross straps, rather than toe-post ones, in size 5 and they're a perfect fit.

I am a 4 and a 4 but n Fitflops. What Gracie ones are you looking at? I am trying to decide if I need a pair!

I like the tan leather ones. I want some sparkly flipflops too - my Skechers ones are past their best.

For anyone who is interested, I can confirm that size 5 is on the small side in Fitflops for me. I've sent 5s back and ordered 6s. I'm not sure the beach flip flops are for me tbh - they're pretty much flat around the heel whereas the Skechers ones are shaped to cup the heel which I think is why they're so comfy. It's a pain they don't do half sizes. Ho hum.
