Good morning!
I love seeing the suggestions you all make. Since retiring many years ago I don't really have much occasion to dress up and feel as if I have lost my way, clothes-wise. Skin, hair nails are all tip top (I think).
I am 5', very curvy. Size 10/12, hourglass, very booby.
I spend most of my day in gym gear. Otherwise it's jeans and a Joules striped top. I really wish I hadn't bought so many, but there you are.
I like bracelet length sleeves, never go sleeveless. Favour a square neck. Rarely wear button fronts because my boobs are a bit disproportionate and if I fit in the top the bottom is probably too big. Shirring tends not to be flattering on me. I don't like low necks. I do tend to wear quite short dresses, I can wear long jersey dresses though.
I haven't got an occasions coming up but what if I did? I'd love to see your ideas please. Budget wise I just don't know how people can justify spending £150+ unless it's a really special occasion. Maybe I just buy too much cheap stuff...

Instead of buying for special occasions that may or may not happen, I would start by upgrading your everyday wear. You could start small with a new T shirt that doesn’t have stripes, is really great cotton in a colour and cut that suits you. I like jackets, in that you can throw them on and they instantly upgrade the jeans and a shirt look, especially with great trainers / shoes and a good bag.

Maybe … Maybe not. Grin

Get ahead of the seasons - one of these would be a change from Breton tops and would be great with your jeans, then later with a jacket:

Thank you, I remember Anne Diamond, when she was the nation's favourite saying that she wore lots of different jackets. I'm not a jackety person so I'll start looking.
Sorry I should have said I really don't expose the tops of my arms, but I'll look at the site that top is from. I think I need to expand my horizons.
