Ideas/advice on nice rings :)

Hello!
my husband wants to get me a nice ring for my birthday, which is exciting 😊 Not a super big budget thing, think £100-£150 mark, give or take!
I am a bit crap at wearing jewellery as I don’t take enough care of myself really - chronic medical stuff, fatigue, toddler… you know, the usual suspects 😅 however a lovely new ring might just encourage me to take care of at least my hands again!
I wear my wedding and engagement rings on my left hand ring finger, and am thinking for this ring perhaps middle finger on right hand. Trouble is, my fingers are sort of short and stubby and I never feel like they look very nice in most rings!

Does anyone have any advice on what sorts/styles of rings might look nice or most flattering on shorter, kind of stubby fingers? My fingers aren’t wide, they’re just not particularly elegant looking 😂

Any suggestions on what styles of ring would give a sort of cute/pretty/fashionable look without being overly fancy/over the top/massively sparkly…. I’m hopeless at this sort of thing! Maybe if you could post links/pictures of rings you love to inspire me!

thank you 😊

This is my favourite ring - it's an antique opal, €85 in an antique shop - great places to find lovely jewellery!

Following!! I agree antique shops (even John Lewis second hand jewellery counter) are good for rings. I’m in the search for a cocktail ring - big, oblong stone of some kind.

op why don’t you ost pic of your hand with a ring on for some thoughts about what might suit your hand shape?

Excuse my hands which look all twisted as I took the photo with my other hand. I bought all of these rings on eBay pre used. Two have certificates of authenticity from jewellery shops. All cost between £150-225. Have a look they have hundreds for the price range you state. If you bought them new they'd be well over double the price. I've bought 9 carat gold because it's strong but you can get platinum or white gold if you prefer that. Let us see what you get.

What type of metal is your wedding ring set, OP, and do you want your new ring to match it in terms of the metal colour?

Yes you need to decide which colour metal you want. Find your ring size. Decide which stone or stones you'd like, then design. There is so much choice out there so narrowing it down would be the priority.
