Clothes / Insta inspo for a professional "dress for your day" office

I work in an office which, post-covid is "dress for your day". I naturally gravitate to jeans but I'm getting quite senior now and I need outfits which are stylish and semi-smart, but not as smart as pre-covid office wear. Some jeans and trainers can feature, but I'm overdoing it currently. Dresses and trainers do not suit me.

I'm 40 and size 10. Can anyone recommend any insta accounts which I can follow for ideas? I'm having one of those mornings where I want to burn down my wardrobe and feel awful in everything.

Bumping for you as it's a good question and I was trying to find the same kind of inspiration yesterday. I like wearing my chunky, comfortable trainers so tend to go for smarter, classic (boring) clothes to balance it out but I'd like to have a bit more variety.

Thanks @helloblossom

Bumping again.

Someone please help!

Chunky loafers instead of trainers? Comfortable but still not twee or heels.

Some slouchy trousers instead of jeans would also still feel comfortable but if navy/beige/black will be a change from jeans

Smart cardigans which are cut like jackets might also be a good half way house

I don’t love everything she wears, it can be a bit samey, but you might get some inspiration from Lydia Jane Tomlinson on Instagram

Midlifechic? She is a bit older than you (early 50’s but slim like you and IMO always looks well dressed without being overdone). Not specifically office wear but lots would be suitable.

Thanks everyone, I'll get started with these suggestions!

Stylish, semi-smart, senior women’s wear? This is what you want:

Cos would also be suitable.

Massimo Dutti is still in holiday mode but should have more work like clothes soon.

(Ignoring the plea for instagram aid. You just need good clothes and your own style.)

Thanks everyone! I hear you, @BlanklyMyDear, but some people have a better eye for what suits them, and I have the equivalent of colour blindness when it comes to that which means I have a tendency to buy clothes that don't work well together; and waste money in the process. I like to follow fashion accounts in the same way I follow interiors and garden design accounts. They give me ideas.
