Hi, can anyone recommend a powder foundation that isn't too expensive?

Lily Lolo is good, I think. I used it for years (recently switched to liquid foundation). You can order samples online.

Another vote for Lily Lolo. Nice texture, and buildable from a hint of colour all the way up to full coverage. Not at all chalky!
Sadly now I’m older and my skin has changed, it doesn’t suit me so well and I need something less matte.

I still use bare minerals powder foundation.it really suits me and gives a perfect finish. If I use primer it lasts forever and doesn't budge. It's one of the only things which doesn't give me huge reactions which is a massive pro.

I am currently using Max Factor Face finity in a compact. Make sure you look at the shades first as they come up dark, I'm a fair / medium and porcelain is good for me. Apply with a buffer brush not the sponge it comes with. Really cheap on Amazon.

Another lily lolo here. I used to have very greasy and spot prone skin and it never caused me to break out.
As I've got older my skin has evened itself out and dried out a bit so I've switched to tinted moisturiser but this post has got me wanting to try it again!

Thank you 😄 going to take a look at all these. Where on your skin is best to test for colour match?
Currently use a medium BB cream so no real matching was needed. Guess i could take it to store to compare..

Lily lolo is ordered online, You have to pay for samples, but they are generous and you can then test them on your face and properly check for colour match and how it wears on your face.

The Chanel compact one is nice, it can be sheer but is buildable. Doesn't cake or sit in creases.

Floppysock · 08/07/2024 19:30

Yes, I came in to say Lily Lolo too.

Laura Gellar balance and brighten is the best powder foundation.

Tillytess · 08/07/2024 21:48

Second Laura Geller

suki1964 · 09/07/2024 08:41

Third Laura Geller, although I did used to use Lily LoLo back in my younger days

Laura Geller is only sold online though and you cant get samples - full refunds if not happy if you order direct or from QVC. You can buy on amazon but not sure about returns

Another vote for Laura geller. On days I want less coverage I use it alone and use it as a powder over foundation if I want heavier coverage. Love it.
