If you were given the option to buy one what would you go for? I have no clue - everyday use, don't need it for work, enough space to fit my mobile, purse sunglasses etc. I'd like something classic, budget is £1.5k. TIA

If you want to look at a wide section of designer bags in one place, have a look at Cocoon. Gives you an idea what is out there.

Also have a walk of the Selfridges accessories floor, they have the concessions as well as a wider display.

Do you want it to be obviously designer (ie branded) or more discreet? Do you like bright colours or a more discreet palette like browns/ beiges/ blacks? Do you want it to have a distinct/ unique look, or to blend in and not catch the eye much, other than being high quality?

Also do you have any favourite designers you’ve always wanted to own?

A few of the classics I can think of in the size you are looking for would be Fendi baguette, Prada hobo, Dior saddle bag. They come in many colours and designs. Some of them retail outside your price range, but you can get them for your price range 2nd hand. Gucci is a bit cheaper but almost always very branded up.

From the newer brands I’d seriously look at Jacquemus. It’s quite affordable and loved for a reason. Not flashy, but the shapes/ designs have a bit of a quirk to it.

Sorry I haven't been back to the thread before now and thank you for your reply. I'm now off to do some research on the brands you mentioned. I popped into Prada and liked an under the arm, leather longer style but I can't find it online. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Great questions - I'd like subtle, I don't like heavily branded items and a boring colour (tan not black). Something that doesn't fall off my shoulder and I do like it to tuck under my arm. I think there's a name for those
