Footwear help please

Hello 👋🏻 I will preface this with I am not at all a dress person. Ever. But I have been told I am unable to wear leggings & DM's to a November wedding (mine! 😂)
So I have found this dress which I can imagine myself wearing but no idea what to do about the footwear? Will need to be flat (as partner/fiancé is the same height as me & I've not worn heels in the 20 years I've been with him!) & cheap as unless they are docs very unlikely to ever be worn again.

It's YOUR wedding - docs would look fab with that dress. You could always change the laces to a blue silk ribbon to match the dress

These are pricey but could you find a pair on Vinted and have a go at customising? Or a pair of converse?

DD 22 told me the other day that some of her uni friends who always wear trainers buy ballroom dancing shoes if the need heels for a dressing up event.

Wear docs!

It's your wedding so wear what you like and what your feel comfy in. You also want to look like you on the day, surely?
I agree with previous comments...wear your DMs and have ribbon laces to coordinate with the dress.
