Looking for a long stylish waterproof poncho for the Edinburgh Festival...

Well, last year I went to the Edinburgh Festival and embarrassingly bought a £5 scottish flag white and blue poncho to protect me from the frequent sporadic showers....

This year I would like to be rather more stylish...

I'm happy to splash out for a long, elegant very waterproof poncho that also folds up fairly small... Any thoughts?

Im fantasising about a subtle patterned one, interesting colours, something a little eye catching or subtly elegant

Foolishly I saw a woman in a stunning one last year and didn't ask her where she got it!!

I'm 5'7 and a size 12/14...

Oh I love these!

Oh my goodness @heldinadream - these are just GORGEOUS and so affordable... Absolutely love them!! Not surprised they are Dutch... they know how to stay dry on those bicycles

And those Reisenthal ones are rather fab too @Sgtmajormummy

I now feel spoilt for choice and will have a wonderful mellow time just gently choosing... Thank you SO much!!

My DD1(16) and I both have one of these waterproof ponchos each. They are amazing, totally waterproof, lightweight and fold up small. I have the purple camouflage and DD1 has the camouflage. She went to see Blondie (throwback kid who loves 80s music) at an outdoor concert near our home and she stayed dry when all around her were drowned rats. We plan to use them on our annual UK beach holiday. Can’t fault them, would highly recommend.

I have the Rainkiss Japanese Blossom poncho and it’s magnificent. I don’t mind when it rains now 😉

ApolloandDaphne · 04/07/2024 12:12

Are they genuinely one size? I am size 16/18.

Now to find a discount ...

Question to Rainkiss poncho owners please -

what is the adult sizing like?

On the website the models look thin and not very layered clothes wise and the ponchos look like they fit.

Would they fit (especially across the back/arms/shoulders) if you had lots of layers on - say a jumper and a winter coat and weren't model thin to start with?

Or are they just for summer/spring thin layer clothing?

@corkscrewedup

my daughter is a generous size 16 and she can fit really oversized hoodies & sweatshirts underneath. Honestly, you could camp inside a Rainkiss (in a good way!)
