Members’ enclosure at Wimbledon - need some guidance from those who have seen the dress code irl

So I have seen the guidance on the Wimbledon website. However I really don’t wear dresses so would like to wear trousers - would smart navy trousers, beige jacket, ballet flats and a round neck cotton 3/4 sleeve top be okay (sort of dull Hobbs kind of clothing)?

Yes you’ll be fine in that!

Yes, I’ve seen pictures of a few famous people wearing similar outfits. One woman had wide leg brown trousers, a cream top and cream blazer thrown over her shoulders and some creamy coloured trainers (mostly covered by the trousers). Looked really lovely and smart. You’ll look great!

Yes that’s fine

Sounds fabulous!
Have a great day.

Have you been yet? We’re going tomorrow and would really like to know how strict the dress code is (hello comfy trainers).

Username22222 · 03/07/2024 20:25

Sounds perfect.

@PurBal how trainery are your trainers?

Basically you need the school kids trick of trainers that look like shoes.
Or put them in your bag and swap them once you're in (still need to look fairly discrete).

It's very ableist so you could argue the stewards with that angle

They’re proper trainers (cute, but adidas trainers). I have some flat loafer type things i
may go with.
