Erborian CC Cream

Has anyone used the Erborian CC cream? It's pricier than I typically go for, but I'm tempted to try it. I've seen such good things online about it but it's dawned on me I'm maybe just being influenced by instagrammers. Any thoughts?

I have it and it's good, good quality, good coverage, not streaky or drying.

The main thing for me is the limited colour choice - I only use it in summer when I've got a bit of colour, otherwise even the light one is too orange on me.

They say it blends to your natural colour but that's a bit of marketing nonsense tbh

mynameiscalypso · 01/07/2024 21:22

I switch between it and foundation depending on how much coverage I feel like I need but it works well for me. Makes my skin look a lot brighter.

EVHead · 01/07/2024 21:22

It’s lovely - very light and easy to apply.

shockeditellyou · 01/07/2024 21:24

It’s brilliant, it’s one of the few makeup products I have bought multiple times. Easy to apply and really makes your skin look good.

Littleguggi · 01/07/2024 21:34

I love it, I use it alongside the BB cream for extra coverage. I occasionally use the green tube which is for redness also.

WeRateSquirrels · 01/07/2024 21:37

Almost loved it but too orange for me, and I’m not even mega pale.

lindyloo57 · 01/07/2024 21:50

I love it too, I mix the two shades in spring and winter, and just the doir in summer.

Diplidocus4 · 01/07/2024 21:54

I asked a while ago for advice as the body shop tube of BB cream I had was beyond use . It was the white cream that changed to match my skin.
The Eborian one was recommended and is excellent !

polkadotorganisedchaod · 01/07/2024 21:57

Yep it's great. It annoys me as it's not cheap but I reach for it over and over again- if anyone finds a code pls share

friskybivalves · 01/07/2024 22:00

KATE20 gets you 20% off pretty much everything on the Erborian site (nothing in j
It for me - she is just a nice stylist I follow!) I like the BB cream a lot...

bryceQ · 01/07/2024 22:05

It's absolutely my holy grail I wear it daily and have for about 4 years. It lasts quite a while and I buy a few tubes when there is a decent offer on.

Toodaloobaloo · 01/07/2024 22:09

I’m going to go against the grain here and say I don’t think it’s that great. Even the lightest shade is a bit orange and too dark, and I’m not pale. It also breaks me out. I don’t understand the hype surrounding it. Emperors new clothes effect?

Idontjetwashthefucker · 01/07/2024 22:10

I've got the cc cream in the green tube, covers enough without having to use anything else

Scrunchcake · 01/07/2024 22:46

Thanks for all the opinions, sounds like it's genuinely great for a lot of people. It could easily be too orange on me - us there a way of testing it out? And thank you @friskybivalves for the code

I absolutely love it! It goes on beautifully, never goes patchy, and a tube lasts forever. Perfect level of coverage.

I would say I'm a medium skin tone, and I use the lighter shade, but in the summer I add a dash of bronzing drops, just to warm the shade up a bit. I do wish there were more shades.

It is sold in some larger branches of Boots, so you might find a tester, or they do a smaller tube if you don't want to splash out on full size.

Lastarse · 01/07/2024 23:41

I have the one in the purple tube, ‘cc dull correct’ - it goes on purple and adapts to your skin tone, a little goes a long way and I don’t like heavy foundation anyway, it really smooths out my complexion.
I think it’s great, I’ve a pretty average medium white skin with a pinkish undertone.
I also bought the cc eye cream in clair which will last forever ! Maybe try some in boots before you buy ?

It's by far the best one I've used, and I'd be back to it immediately if they brought out a lighter, less orange shade. I don't even think it's that expensive for the size of tube and how long it lasts (easy to find offers as well).

MrsFunnyFanny · 02/07/2024 09:58

I use both the BB and CC creams by Erborian, and they’re great IMO. I use the light shade (Clair) in the winter, and the next shade (Doré) in the summer.
I bought some recently at Space NK, and was given some samples in little sachets when I paid, so it might be worth trying there to see if you can one to try before you buy (if there’s one near you).

Coffeeandcinnamonbuns · 02/07/2024 16:24

I find it too orange and I’m pretty tanned. A cheaper alternative ( around 8 pounds on Amazon) and less orange is L’Oréal’s magic BB cream.

BeretRaspberry · 02/07/2024 20:15

I use the one in the green tube and love it. I’m palet than a ghost and that has no orange tinge.

bryceQ · 02/07/2024 21:27

It's funny how it shows up on different skin tones. I would consider myself pale... I would use a foundation that's a 2 (if 1 was lightest) and it never looks orange on me at all

Purplecatshopaholic · 02/07/2024 21:30

I use it most days. It’s awesome. Worth the money as you don’t use much. It’s got SPF in it too. If you buy from their website you usually get samples too.

Scrunchcake · 02/07/2024 21:57

Thanks again everyone. I've ordered a kit from the Erborian site and some samples. Fingers crossed it's not orange on me!

Really surprised at the ‘orange’ comments! I’m a natural redhead with skin so white it’s pretty much blue, and it’s not the slightest bit orange on me!

DefyingGravitas · 03/07/2024 05:00

I’m really pale and use Clair - it works for me. I often use it as a primer, I get dry patchy areas and it works great for me under foundation or another tinted moisturiser.
