Help - nails

Hi,

I've been wearing fake nails for a week as my nail appointment was cancelled and one of them looks like this! I'm panicked. What shall I do?!

What kind of fake nail?

A stick on one 😭

Was it green in colour?

Looks like a 'greenie', a bacterial infection. I'd let it grow out, you don't want it to spread to other nails or get worse

No it wasn't green in colour :( do I need to do any treatment? Or just keep it clean and dry?

Have you tried disinfecting the surface of the nail- it looks mouldy/bacterial but cant see if it is under the nail or on top

How on earth do you get a bacterial infection from a stick on?

it looks like pseudomonas. Mine grew out fine, at first I soaked it in dilute bleach and then I have a vague memory of using an over the counter antibacterial cream

You had a tiny bit of moisture trapped under the stick on and picked up a little bit of pseudonymous and it was very happy in its damp environment
