Got up today-will be seeing no-one , so have just put on an old out of shape jumper that's been washed too many times with an unflattering skirt.
Do other people dress stylishly, if they're just staying in the house by themselves?
I would like to but it seems as if I'm wasting good stuff when no-one will see me.

I wear house clothes which is usually a pair of shorts along with an old top

I suppose I;d like to the sort of woman who wafts around in lovely clothes, with light make up and a touch of perfume even when she's by herself.

I do have nice clothes, make up and perfume but I just can't seem to bring myself to 'waste' them when it's only me! So @ItsTheGAGGGGGGGG , I'm glad to know I'm not on my own and I wonder if I'm just imagining that there are women like this but if they are, how do they motivate themselves.

If you want to be that person then you can easily become that person. My sister is quite like that as she always like to do her hair and have nice clothes on. I can’t be bothered because I’m too lazy!

I imagine, they also have scented candles, vintage china tea cups and flowers around them too, while they spend their Sundays reading on a plumped up sofa, instead of tussling with laundry or cleaning the shower.

Isn’t the whole point of being at home alone the freedom to do as you choose? Grin

For me that means wearing all my scruffiest, falling apart things in whatever random way appeals as I reach for them. As long as I’m decent for delivery people who cares?

Obviously if I have Zoom meetings I dress as carefully as I would if leaving the house - but most of my ‘out’ clothes are too precious to be wasted on lounging, gardening or cooking.

Thankfully I’m completely uninterested in posing for instagram …

TBH I never really go out anywhere except to the shops so if I didnt wear my nice clothes for Tesco trips and walking the dog Id never get to enjoy them!

Exception is if Im between nightshifts (so half asleep and knackered!!LOL). Then its no make up, leggings/cycling shorts and a band tee or sweatshirt.

I don’t know about stylish but I always wear an outfit I like and feel good in. I don’t save anything for best. Why are you keeping and wearing clothes that are past their best and that you don’t enjoy wearing?
