Eyebrow tweezers!

The horror! Pretty much next on my list after passport, meds and contact lenses.

They were in the bag but I must have taken them out last minute and put back in the drawer, absent mindedly. Noooooo

Also I only realised last night, too late to go out again to buy any, and all the shops seem to be shut today.

I mean there's nothing anyone can do to help but I just wanted some sympathy 😂the worst is I have at least three pairs so no excuse at all.

What's the worst thing you've left behind?

I think you are on the wrong thread but I recommend these all the time so I endorse this post appearing everywhere 😁

🤣

Holiday abroad, beach and swimming pool with the kids. Forgot my bikini and swimming costume

Unpacked to go out for lunch and had taken 2 odd sandals...

Ds spent 2 weeks in an AI in mexico in odd Trainers, he had only brought those and his crocs.
They were kind of similar so not too obvious and we only noticed about 4 days in, and he had travelled in them.

PuppiesProzacProsecco · 30/06/2024 09:40

Pants here too. To make it worse, I was pushing 40, 7 months pregnant and pretty incontinent at the time. We had to drive for miles to find a Mothercare that sold maternity pants. DH still laughs about it.

FantasticFox27 · 30/06/2024 09:43

Worst thing I forgot on a trip was a left shoe. For my outfit for a wedding!

Those who don't understand the need for tweezers on a (four day) trip are obviously not (ahem) older!

I'm definitely older but my hair seems to have stopped growing. I tweeze my eyebrows about once every 6-8 weeks! Helps being very blonde.

5byfive · 30/06/2024 09:49

I realised while stood in the airport check in queue with just a change of shirt in my hand luggage that I was wearing crocs. Found some lovely shoes in Fat Face though.

Chocolately · 30/06/2024 09:52

Stuff I forget and have to buy on holiday is thereafter known as " my Barcelona shorts", "corfu umbrella" etc.
I have a small bag just for holidays containing floss, tweezers, nail file, plasters, earbuds, eyemask, painkillers door wedge, and keep it in my suitcase. Saves a lot of bother.

Alwaysonyourleft · 30/06/2024 09:53

Recently forgot my contact lenses for a destination wedding trip abroad. Had to wear my specs and then briefly go without vision for the photos

Whose eyebrows are growing that much overnight? Are you a werewolf?

I expect the OP needs them for chin hairs that really do sprout overnight, rather than eyebrows

clary · 30/06/2024 09:57

Good tip @Chocolately might do that going forward!
No razor, did my legs on Friday and they'll be OK.

Lucky you to all the blondies out there!

Turned up at the airport with my daughter's passport instead of mine 😱
Long story short, still made the flight but it was VERY VERY stressful 😂😂

Sharontheodopolodous · 30/06/2024 09:59

My suitcase that was full of my clothes
We where going on holiday,I'd paid for myself, the kids and the cocklodger I was dating at the time (I was a skint single mum at the time and had saved like hell to go,i really couldnt afford to pay for him too but managed it)
He picked a row right at the last minute, purely to get out of going and I threw my small, soft suitcase at him
It missed and slid down the side of my bed,our lift arrived as he slunk away and I forgot to pick it up again
A whole week of wearing the same outfit-i had to wash and dry it overnight, every night for 7 days
The arsehole thought it was hilarious-I failed to see the funny side and finished it with him

imfae · 30/06/2024 10:03

Sorry OP I would also be lost without mine even for a day . I usually pack about 3 pairs with me in case I lose them .

The curse of getting older . Not ideal but would it either be possible to shave any stray hairs or snip with a pair of nail scissors until you can get another pair ?

I swear I can actually feel my errant hairs if I don't get to them soon enough .

I do ponder from time to time to time if I was in hospital for any length of time and couldn't manage this myself would I have to get a relative to see to them??? What if I was in a coma ( least of my worries but still ....)Grin

Redlettuce · 30/06/2024 10:04

I know it sounds weird but can you pull them out? I find a quick firm yank does the trick!

shellyleppard · 30/06/2024 10:05

My dad used to work abroad for six months at a time. Ge once forgot his work boots.... ended up traveling in his slippers 😂😂

@imfae yes! The coma fear. See also being stuck on a desert island!

I've forgotten socks and my hair brush a few times

I've never forgotten pants but have underestimated how many I need so have run out

Oh no hadn't thought of a desert island !!!! I think I would have to give up any hope of being rescued after a while . I would be too embarrassed to have become a yeti woman and would have to hide from any rescue planes / boats BlushGrin.

I once accidentally wore odd boots on the school run - one was blue and one was black. Very similar in style but not identical. I was halfway back before I realised. Mortifying.

We are clearly trying to start a new fashion trend! 😂

My sons shoes when he was little (but walking) and we carried him out to his car seat in socks

Lol, I didn't see this when I posted. That's what we did.

Justploddingonandon · 30/06/2024 10:21

My birth control pills. Initially thought not a problem as it was a work trip and DH wasn't with me, but the pills also stop my period and therefore I also hadn't brought any sanitary products.
