Strapless bra recommendation - comfortable and plus size please

40FF - needs to be comfortable! Possibly more a 38 back but bras make me feel so sick these days I have to size up.

Do comfortable strapless ones exist? The bandeau style won’t work with the style of dress I need it for.

I don’t know if it’s since lockdown or since having DD (they coincided!) but I never wear wired bras anymore. Just can’t do it, they make me feel ill. Occasionally if an outfit requires it (needs a bit more lift for whatever reason) I can manage a Freya underwired one for a couple of hours for an evening out, but am usually desperate to take it off after that.

Im going on holiday and have bought a couple of those ‘milkmaid’ type sundresses - that description sounds awful and not something I’d wear at home probably but I was tempted by how insanely flattering they are everywhere else on my body. Thought I’d be ok as they have sleeves but the sleeves sit at the very outside of my shoulders and so straps are visible.

Have had the wonder bra one in the past and even before I took against bras in general I just couldn’t stand it, gave it to my sister in the end.

Sorry, generous 36F here, l honestly don’t think there is any such thing. I consider it’s a case of “free range” or change the dress/top.

I tried about 25 different strapless bras in the run up to my wedding 2 years ago. The best one I found in the end was a brand called Delimira on Amazon. Go with the larger band size as that was recommended in reviews I read. I was able to wear it comfortably all day and it gave really good support. I've bought 2 more in other colours since for other outfits.

Ooh just had a look at this, looks promising from the reviews! Thank you

See through straps on a bra you do like?
