If you are using Le Labo perfume

I've been 'adicted' to Santal 33 for years, now fancy a change. Yet I find it really hard to beat and no other perfume I tested so far had the same level of sophistication, distinction and long lasting impact like Santal.

I was determined to find one from Le Labo as they have so many interesting smells. Even invested in several samples to try at home but none so far does the trick.

Anyone else managed to move on from Santal successfully? What was it? 🙏

I have, and love, Thé Noir 29

Yes I'm not as keen on offers from Le Labo as Santal. I like them but not as much.

Have you tried looking up the matching scent profile of Santal on fragranica website?

I like rose 31, the noir 29 and baie (can't remember number). I buy the 30ml ones and they last for ages. Liberty sell them. I also got the neroli one as a roll on. I like Santal but I know a lot of people that wear it. I also wear portrait of a lady by Frederic Malle, and a liberty one from the Beauty box a while ago. I also need a new perfume so following this...

Have you tried the Matcha 26? I love it, really very different from anything I’ve had before. A family member once remarked I smelt like an upmarket hotel reception when wearing it (meant as a compliment) 🤣

Haeckels do perfume and I had one in a recent innovation box. Can’t remember the name (they tend to be numbers) but it interests me enough to look at them next time I browse for something new.

I've read that this perfume smells like Santal 33 might be worth trying f you have a Marks and Spencer nearby.

I have their Tonka scent and have just recently bought bergamot. It's gorgeous!

Thank you all! I'm excited to try some of these other ideas, some are new to me.
My hope is not to find another cheaper Santal or a close match. I just love how it's quite 'mysterious' (or used to be..) and stays on forever! For me it justifies the price tag.
I'll get my nose in action and hope to feedback soon x
