Need to hide a pregnancy at a wedding

It’s a small wedding and I don’t want to detract any attention from the couple as there are already issues.

Will only be 12ish weeks but I have a flat stomach and it’s my second pregnancy so I’m anticipating a bit of a bump.

I usually wear quite slinky stuff so a floral tent may as well be a sign saying ‘up the duff’.

I’m looking for a cami dress with an artful ruffle or lots of detail. Maybe one of those tiered maxi dresses. But everything on ASOS is too sexy for a church wedding or too surrendered wife.

Has anyone seen anything that may help?

Sad you feel you have to hide your condition. Rethink it.

It sounds like the OP is trying to be considerate of someone else here. There are valid reasons it may not be the day to accidentally announce a pregnancy

But the risk is that it is more obvious than OP thinks it will be meaning people speculate. Which is drawing more attention to it than a quiet announcement beforehand getting it out of the way and caveating it as early days so anything might happen which dampens down anyone overreacting with excitement.

If it's the bride and groom who are experience fertility problems and OP doesn't want to upset them I think trying to hide it and cause people to guess is potentially more upsetting that saying beforehand.

OP asked for dress suggestions…

OP asked for dress suggestions…

And like most threads the conversation has taken on a life of its own. There's not many threads that stay exactly as answering only the OP's question

Sezane have another dress very similar to the orange one in olive green here: www.sezane.com/en/product/layla-dress/summer-green#size-10

Love this… though my boobs would be a tripping hazard ⚠️ so if you can get away with it I 100% will be living vicariously through you 😂 x

Not sure if it comes across in the photos but this dress has gathering at front and also over boobs so lots of flexibility for pregnancy while appearing quite fitted at sides of body.

Sizing is massive though so order small if you try it!

What about this one?

How about a sexy wrap dress which will hide anything. Loads around on line.

@Probionic

Is it your first pregnancy? If it is, and you're slim you probably won't be showing much at 12 weeks so a bit of ruffle or drape will easily hide it.

I was 13 weeks pregnant at my wedding, I wasn't trying to hide it as people knew but you honestly couldn't really tell and I wore a fairly fitted dress, just maybe a little more skimmy and a little less clingy than I normally would (was an informal wedding so more a garden party dress than a wedding dress).

If it's your second or more pregnancy then it may be a bit more visible and go with something more flowy or flouncy.

Try reading the OP again. Particularly the second sentence.

Oops, missed that!

I really like that olive green layered dress and the floral one, both are summery and not bridesmaidy, and should hide your tum.
