Is this okay?

Is it okay to wear black linen trousers and a cream patterned linen too for an interview? It's a nice modern ish outfit and would be cool in this heat but I'm undecided if I will look like a crumpled mess by the time I got there!

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I love linen and wear it a lot in warmer weather. Yes it creases but that’s kind of part of the deal and everyone knows that. Your outfit sounds great.

No.

It depends on the interview / role / organisation. In my industry, that would be too dressed down. Personally I'd err on the safe side and wear a dress but we're just guessing without any information on what/where the interview is.

It depends a bit on the style and structure of the top. As long as it does look pretty smart/businessy then I don't see why not. Especially in summer.

Fine if the top looks serious and not fancy! Not if it’s see through lace or acres of flounce.

Do you have a journey? If so, wear a different top on the way and change at your destination.

It can look a bit messy so it depends if the trousers and top hold their shape. All freshly ironed, it’s great!

Looks like linen is a bit hit and Miss so will opt for a simple black dress instead. Thank you all for the help
