Lovely vintage wedding dress/ vintage gown physical boutique?

I'm looking for a specific type of wedding dress! Vintage from the 50s or 60s, but not one of those 'retro' mid length dresses, more gown length - bonus if its something I could wear again, so also thinking about pastel colours. I see some I like online but they usually don't have returns, and I really want to go and try some on. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm willing to travel so could be anywhere really. So many places seem to be online only.

This is just the sort I’m looking to finally get rid of after getting married late sixties! Princess Anne wore a virtual knock off of mine 😂

Just to say, online has to do returns AFAIK...... as you have to be able to inspect the goods.

That is a fabulous shop. The not wedding vintage shop next door to it is fabulous too. Unfortunately as it's genuine vintage the sizing is small.

I'm a small 4'10 so vintage sizes often seem to be bit a better for me somehow!

@Horsedatives oh that's interesting. I liked the look of something from a posh online vintage couture place in london a while ago but they said sales are final, and couldn't spend that kind of money without trying on!

They are a vintage wedding dress shop in Bristol and do some lovely things as well as general vintage clothing and afternoon tea 😊

The Ballroom in St Clements, Oxford does vintage and new, or at least they used to. Maybe give them a call.
