I have a job interview for a senior management position this week and have no idea what to wear. Do i wear a skirt and blouse with tights, a jumpsuit or a smart dress with jacket and heels?

Are you not able to buy something suitably weather appropriate before the interview?

Chelsea74 · 23/06/2024 11:32

Yes i might have a look online!

Surely it also depends on industry etc? I would not wear tights in super hot weather - and these days it looks odd.

Smart dress with a jacket. I am a size 16 so I have to wear a jacket in this situation as it helps to give me shape and definition, but if you're smaller, I think the right dress would mean no jacket necessary - tailored, with at least some sleeve etc. Go for heels if you want but find ones that are comfortable to wear without tights.

I would go with the jacket. If the job is for an office environment, it is often best to err on the side of formal and to make the outfit draw minimal attention to your body.
