What on earth am I going to wear! Suggestions welcome thank you.

Short 5’3 ish boy frame, small boobs, size 8.

A lines suit me well or maxi style. Potentially tea dresses could be a goer as too long with bending down will be dragging all in the mud. Open to your expertise!

Which one is that?

The red and white lace one.

Lovely and in the sale.

The girl to the left of the groom in the wine-coloured dress looks fab.

So does the young woman on his right in the sort of tie dye dress. The whole party actually looks good - very much avoiding the "wedding dress guest" look.

The red and white lace one.

I mean, obviously without the hat 😆

IamMoodyBlue · 23/06/2024 21:56

Definitely trousers! Comfortable, practical for the situation and so many styles to choose from.
I'm biased though. Got married in navy blue jumpsuit with silver piping & silver belt. Good old Richard Shops!

I love this! You’d need a size 4, I would guess, OP, from experience with Boden.

Oh goodness that hat. The dress could easily be dressed down.

Omg we are getting somewhere!

Really like these two! And not badly priced.

I think the Oliver Bonas one might be worth looking at in the flesh - it could be lovely or it could be cheap and nasty - can be hard to tell with viscose. It has what my number 1 criteria for a woodland wedding dress would be which is it is machine washable - and could probably be sponged down on the day if you slipped in a muddy patch. Tthe gorgeous Brora one above is silk and silk and mud don't mix....

Jumpsuits are only going to be an option if the bathroom situation is spacious - imagine the contortions in a portaloo too get in and out of one without the legs draping on the floor where everyone else's muddy boots/shoes have been.

That really is stunningly awful.

First thought was Jumpsuit and chunky sandals

Depending on your vibe, Voriagh do beautiful dresses which fit a woodland wedding theme.
Dresses & Tunics (voriagh.com)

Just because it's a woodland setting, that doesn't mean the guests are expected to cosplay as Hansel & Gretel

CountryCousin · 24/06/2024 17:39

@xxSideshowAuntSallyxx if it’s the shirring you like, you may really love

Hill House Home

though it is is a little more luxurious.

Inlaw · 24/06/2024 18:26

All I have ordered so far is the reiss scarf dress which I don’t think is suitable for this but looks nice for a date night 🤣

And the loafers I was sold on are now out of stock in my size 🤦‍♀️

Oh dear lol

I am no good at clothes, but some insect repellent, wet wipes and hand gel in your bag would be good. A wet cloth in a sealed bag, too.

Oh well, I guess everyone is going to be laughing at my expense next month cause I bought my own wedding dress from Voriagh...I'm going more 'connected to nature' than Hansel and Gretel. I guess I'll at least be giving the general public a bit of a laugh then.
