Too warm for jeans, too cool for shorts - what to wear?

What is everyone wearing when it’s too hot for jeans but too cool/don’t want to wear shorts? I’m thinking some wide leg linen trousers? Really want to revamp my wardrobe. Also dresses - mine are all years and years old.

I picked up some wide legged light trousers in H&M. So comfy and in all sorts of colours!!

I don't like shorts... especially if they are like jeans.. fly zip etc.. too hot around middle.
I prefer dresses.. midi or midmaxi. With trainers if a bit cool.. sandals like today very warm.

If you don’t mind could you please post a link I could have started this thread!

I’d love to shop there for trousers but I am short so sadly can only really do petite lengths. I suppose I could get them taken up!

super airy super comfy. I just wear with T-shirts tucked in and Birkenstocks or trainers!!

New look had some nice wide leg trousers when I looked a few days ago, sadly they were too long in me (I’m short), I struggle to find any that aren’t to long.

I mainly wear light weight dungarees and basic smock dresses.

I'm in linen trousers from Next. I'm v. short and their petite range fit a treat. They're a bit wider than ideal, but they are v. cool and comfortable.

I bought these the other week in petite. I'm 5ft1/size 8 and they're just below ankle. They aren't as tapered as on the model on me.
When I collected them in store I was asked to show identification as it came up I was buying age restricted item (apparently its an issue at the moment so take id)!

I'm 5ft 3 and the cropped H&M trousers come to my ankles.

I'm 5"3 and have just ordered these:

They are a bit on the long side, so I may have to wear a small heel. I'm going to trial them when working at home first before wearing them at the office (worried about them being a crumpled mess at the end of the day).

I'm the same. I worked out many years ago that dresses or skirts are much cooler to wear. If it's too hot for jeans, which it is for much of the year here (not UK) then I would wear longer dresses/skirts.

Linen trousers are very cool and long skirts. I can't wear knee length skirts because of varicose veins.

I am a fellow shorty and I bought a few weeks ago some wide leg linen blend cargo trousers from next. (Petite)
No idea if they're stylish (probably not) but they're comfortable, flattering (i hope) and cooler than jeans.
I also bought a long denim skirt from the kids section of H and M

I’ve gone straight from jeans to summer dresses. Weather has done a U turn

I do find wide leg jeans cooler to wear.

I’ve been wearing these on warmer days - cargo trousers from Uniqlo. They are so lightweight and comfortable! I have them in black, beige and natural.

Dresses or skirts. I hate shorts!

Shorts are an abomination unless actually engaged in athletic activity. In hot weather I wear wide-legged culottes from Cos or dresses.
